City of Heroes Homecoming rogue servers kick off Halloween with today’s patch

If you miss the spooky times in City of Heroes, whether you were there for some of the first ToT teams or experienced Dr. Kane’s trial, you’ll get your chance to re-live it all over again with the Homecoming rogue servers’ Halloween event, which has kicked off as of this morning.

The entire collection of Halloween-themed content is arriving with the update, from Trick or Treating to Dr. Kane’s House of Horrors to the Zombie Apocalypse and Deadly Apocalypse zone events. Trick or Treating will also have a chance to drop the Whispered Wish mission tip, and Atlas Park will receive a festive makeover. As for the Eternal Night period, which sees zones only have the nighttime cycle, that will only be active during the first and last weeks of the season.

In addition to the seasonal festivities, the upcoming patch will introduce the ability for players to request a GM to come to their player event, two new Dev Choice story arcs in Architect Entertainment, and a variety of contests running over the course of the month.

As for Page 6 content, that needs a bit more time to release, as it’s turning out to be “very big” and the devs want as many features to arrive with the update as possible. For now, players can look forward to some Halloween goodness between today and November 3rd.
