Yay, Bree loves me! *hugs* :D
Thanks a lot for tackling my question, I loved hearing your thoughts on it! It’s exactly that trickle down effect I’ve had on my mind, too. And I agree with you, we players and game studios are a lot closer in the “food chain” to act as good role models. It’s largely up to ourselves to help shape the online spaces and worlds we inhabit, and that’s also true for our communities in real life.
Still, I think it can’t hurt to have better role models at the very top, too. I will keep on dreaming ;)
Keep up the good job, and stay safe!!
Though I haven’t noticed more toxicity in games over the last four years, I have experienced more IRL toxicity/aggression.
Now I have the mental image of a comic where someone is stopped in their car sticking their body out, raising their fist up shouting “Yeah, old school Runescape!” oblivious to the line of smashed cars piled up behind them.
@justin – You were so on target I thought for sure you were going to speak of the below.
The easiest way to become a landlord in Scotland is become a “whiskey landlord”
You can do this buy procuring a bottle of Laphroaig (a great peaty/smokey whiskey). In each container is a small paper with a code that you can input on their website that will grant you 1 sq ft of their peaty fields. You can only do this once though…else I would have a huge spread.
Only once? So no “drink-to-own” land option… at a certain point you get a higher ranking title and an intervention.
“Neek-ro-mancy”???…wait that vein in my temple is throbbing again lol
She must be doing it on purpose at this point!
I agree. :)
