Guild Wars 2 delays WvW world linking until Friday

One of the newer systems that Guild Wars 2 uses to maintain World vs. World population and rank balance is temporarily offline this week. ArenaNet reported that there’s been an issue with the next batch of WvW linking — but that the problem should be resolved later this week.

“This is an update regarding world linking, which impacted EU worlds earlier today and which will impact NA worlds later today,” the studio said yesterday. “WvW linking across EU and NA will be delayed until the reset next Friday. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.”

World vs. World is a sore subject among competitive Guild Wars 2 players, who are currently having a moment on Reddit accusing the studio of failing to properly balance the game mode and failing to implement the WvW alliances that it mentioned back in 2018.
