Roblox and online education site iD Tech team up for a holiday block party for charity

With the pandemic still making a meal of things around the US, digital holiday events perhaps take on a bigger meaning, especially for younger folks. It’s with that in mind that Roblox is once more partnering with the tech education website iD Tech (which readers will recall was the same partnership that put on a digital Halloween event) for a special holiday block party designed for fans ages 7-19.

Those who get a digital ticket to the event can look forward to gingerbread houses, hot cocoa, nightly fireworks with a grand finale show at each global time zone’s midnight on December 31st, a festive light display to drive through, gifts to collect, and what hopes to be the largest digital snowball fight ever put together.

The event is free with a simple RSVP via Eventbrite, but there are also Premium tickets for $10 and VIP tickets for $15 that grant exclusive in-game items, discounts for an iD Tech online lesson, or a free one-on-one lesson depending on which ticket tier is puchased. All of the proceeds from ticket sales will be going towards the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, which provides scholarships and programming for education, sports, and enrichment programs.

The Roblox holiday block party is set to run between December 26th and January 1st, so young fans still have some time to get their tickets to the event.
