Dual Universe sketches an outline of a content-packed 2021

Dual Universe CEO and Creative Director J.C. Bailie would like to have a little chat with you. Don’t worry, you’re not in trouble, Bailie just wants to tell you about how that game’s been developing and where it’s heading in the new year.

He said that the team has spent the last four months tirelessly ironing out bugs and improving Dual Universe’s scaling server tech to help the game perform better overall.

So what’s to come in 2021? An early year patch will deploy “brand new” environmental graphics for planets and the mission system that will allow players to create jobs for each other to perform. The team also hopes to get out an overhaul of PvP, mineable asteroids, and an energy management system.

That’s not it — there’s more! Novaquark has territory warfare in the works for later in 2021, automated mining units, a voxel editor, a new solar system, stargates, and so on. No word was mentioned, however, of the game launch that was projected a year ago.
