RuneScape has once more kicked out its weekly newsletter and just like Jagex announced earlier in the week, it’s all about the game’s year-long 20th anniversary, pointing players towards the Grand Party event and a host of new 20th anniversary merchandise at the merch store. As for the game’s weekly update, it’s mostly featuring improvements to the Violet is Blue Too quest and a number of fixes and improvements to the game’s UI and to the mobile edition.

Over in Old School RuneScape, the fast-paced Soul Wars PvP minigame that first made its debut 12 years ago in RuneScape is arriving to the game today. For those who are unfamiliar, Soul Wars pits 120 players in a competition to gain the most Avatar kills as possible, earning victory points that can be traded in for rewards. The OSRS version of Soul Wars will see fan favorite warrior mage Nomad arrive to the game, while the arrival of the mode opens the door for additional RuneScape legacy content to come to Old School.
