I think this Event has some design issues. Especially for people who don’t own their own mech yet. It can be difficult to find the rental mechs, and then they’re really fragile when you get one. It doesn’t really sell “Oh, I got to get me one of these!” when you hop in and get immediately blown to scrap by the Nox standing next to it. :(

There’s a huge difference in power between the rental mechs and a personal mech that’s fully modded. Plus for people who have a collection of Archwing guns, you can equip any of them you like on your own mech – the rental mechs all have exactly the same weapon. Fortunately it’s actually a good weapon, even without mods.

It’s also been an issue sometimes that the mission allows people to extract individually. Mostly because if the person *hosting* the mission decides to go and doesn’t tell anyone, everyone who stays will get hit with a Host Migration. Which have always had a tendency to bug and do weird things. (Like resetting your progress in the mission and effectively deleting all the rewards you’d earned up to that point. OnO )

It is nice that Lavos (and parts) drop as possible mission rewards though. If someone did like the event enough to keep playing, they can get everything they need to build him without spending any tokens at all eventually. Or if RNG hates you and one part just refuses to drop, you can use tokens and just buy it from the event store.
