It’s a new year, pard’ners, and that deserves a round of drinks. And haircuts, too! Yeah, you’re looking a little shabby there!

Red Dead Online is ringing in 2021 with a full honor reset and a crew cut: “All Barbers are offering free Haircuts through January 11th and local saloons are pouring free drinks, all week long. Bottoms up.”

And this is just the beginning of the rest of the news! Read on for a roundup of other smaller MMO news stories and videos from this past week in this edition of The MOP Up (and if you don’t see a news story that we should have covered, drop us a tip)!

Sure. That sounds right.

Diablo III congratulated a trio of players who set a new world record on a co-op run in under an hour and 20 minutes.

Prosperous Universe’s small team welcomed 2021 and gave us a small glimpse at the MMO’s upcoming new website.

Realm of the Mad God posted a list of what to expect in January 2021. Which we now live in. AMAZING.

Pokémon Go developer Niantic snapped up Mayhem, a community gaming platform, and most of its team.

“Gaijin Entertainment announces the start of the Operation W.I.N.T.E.R. player event in War Thunder,” the studio sent out in a press release. “Six new rare military vehicles have been added to the game.”

Will Conan Exiles walk away with the smallest patch of 2021? It’s too early to tell, but, why not? Then again, Wurm Online would like to stun you with “Added inventory icons for checker board and checker piece.” Or what about Planetside 2’s much-needed fix to BANNERS? Bravo.

Apex Legends, robots, and film noir come together for this short tale:

RDO is a nightmare of hackers/modders and grinding stupidity.

If the fates were kind, we’d have a storymode DLC instead of more RDO garbage.
