Betawatch: Magic Legends hits open beta on March 23

Sheewax.

It took a bit longer than expected, possibly longer than the developers had hoped, but it’s finally happening. Magic Legends has an official open beta date of March 23rd, far enough away that there’s time for refinement ahead of the date itself but close enough that it’s worth looking forward to. Isn’t it nice when things work out that way?

The answer to that question is “yes.” Just like it’s nice to recap other beta news, as shown here:

Other things you can trust us with include bringing in your mail while you’re on vacation, watching your pets, and having a list just below with a whole bunch of games that are currently in testing. Did something skip test phases without us noticing? Let us know down in the comments!

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
