ArenaNet is claiming at least partial victory over some latency issues that plagued Guild Wars 2 in 2020. The studio announced that the patch put out in mid-December accomplished its mission in beating down that lag monster and making the MMO a better place for all.

“We released an update on December 15 and have been watching the results,” ArenaNet posted. “Since that update we’ve seen a significant and consistent reduction in server-side lag. Thanks to everyone who helped us by using the in-game reporting system. We’re continuing our work to improve your gameplay performance, so please continue reporting if you experience performance issues.”

In other Guild Wars 2 news, the studio posted a new round of WvW world linking for both North American and European servers.
