There’s a fresh season just on the horizon for the battle royale shooter Apex Legends, bringing with it a whole lot of new updates. At the top of the list in the latest patch notes is a new character, Fuse, whose propensity for explosives lets him hold more grenades than other characters, throw grenades farther than others, and brings a couple of abilities that launch a couple of different kinds of bombardment on foes.

The update also brings a heavy ammo-using 30/30 Repeater weapon; some changes to the Kings Canyon map thanks to the devastation of a crashed ship; new legendary magazines that, when attached to a weapon, automatically reload all stowed weapons after a set period of time; and a number of gameplay balance changes like smaller hitboxes for Wraith, an added damage counter, the ability to ping ammo to teammates, and several other adjustments to characters and weapons. There’s also another Battle Pass, as is often the case with new seasons in the shooter.

The update is due to go live at 1:00 p.m. EST today. Players are welcome to discuss the game’s latest update on a dedicated Reddit thread, while there are a bunch of videos and a developer livestream embedded below.
