Allods Online opened a new server, plus its winter events continue

It was a Christmas miracle, and it went almost entirely unnoticed by the MMO community: Allods Online opened a brand-new server on Christmas day. It’s called New Dawn, and it’s a free-to-play server (that’s not always a given with Allods, as it does still have a sub server too) with some specialty bonuses.

Specifically, there’s a permanent bonus to guild authority, spark XP, and experience from killing things. Obviously, many of the perks and awards from starting on the server early are already over and done, and in fact the first level 90 character was crowned four days after the launch. But there’s still plenty to do if you’re looking for a fresh start. In fact, the winter event known as Winter Atoll is open through March 1st.

“[T]he Snow Resort is ready to receive visitors! A cozy tourist village awaits players from level 20 and above. You will find wonderful entertainment, such as races on sledges and snowy boards, snowball battles in a snow fortress and skating, in the snowy resort. Fans of a relaxing holiday will be able to enjoy fishing on the ice of a frozen lake or blinding a snowman, drinking hot mulled wine and enjoying the dazzling volleys of fireworks! Come to the Snowy Resort and take a break from the gloomy winter days! No ticket is required, everyone is allowed to join without any restrictions. To go to the recreation area you simply need to speak to a Holiday Committee Official in the capital of any faction city.”
