We’ve been covering the next update for The Elder Scrolls Online from the very jump, starting with its initial reveal all the way through to its dungeon previews. Now the time has come for PC and Mac players to dive in as Update 29 and the Flames of Ambition DLC are both officially live, while Xbox and PlayStation fans will have to wait until Tuesday, March 16th.

For those who buy in to the Flames of Ambition DLC, there’s dungeons to delve in the form of the Black Drake Villa and the Cauldron, both of which are setups to the events of the upcoming Blackwood chapter and onward. Meanwhile, everyone gets Update 29’s features, which include the redesigned Champion Points system and an updated character sheet that provides stat details that were previously obfuscated.

For those who want to dive in to the granular details, there are patch notes for that. Meanwhile, you can get a look at all of our previous coverage in the list below as well as take a look at our hands-on preview of the new update.

Mass-confusion seems to be the name of this patch. And i kinda like it. Now i’m waiting for the one bar builds to surge again.

So much recrafting now 5-1-1 isn’t a thing any more. At least I don’t have to put a million points in tumbling to get something like master gatherer or treasure hunter. Although only 4 slots for the QoL tree seems restrictive.

Logged in to look it over. It’s like they took and just moved stuff that was part of certain classes skills, and shoved it in there instead (Maybe intending to later change those skills/remove those aspects), condensed it (But not really, because basically everything that was there before, is still there in some form or another) into 3 main areas instead of split over even more. Then made you kinda pick and choose which ones you want. Still looks like something I’d barely/not use much of if I were to continue playing…which since they still haven’t reverted that Major Gallop change, they’ve basically lost me. Just a busted system built on top of what could’ve been good. I guess it looks better than it did…-shrugs-

Well, I though I was going to hate it, but Mom always said “Don’t cry before you are hurt!”.

Well, glad I did not complain before trying it out. My DPS has almost doubled. On fights where I don’t have to run around killing individual ranged guys, I am able to break 100k for the first time.

So, not hurt. Not complaining. I can work with it. :)

Well this is what I think of the new CP revamp.

It’s a little confusing how to open up the paths when you first look at it. I got about half way through the 3 areas before my brain started to overload. Thank goodness I only have 2 characters!

I only have 450 CPs, I just focused on passives. I’m pissed off that yesterday I had almost instant gathering and now it takes me longer to farm nodes. In Fitness and Warfare I went for passives in resistances and blocking, increased Stamina and Weapon damage.

Honestly I have no idea WTF I’m doing and I really wish ESO had a site like WoW’s Icy Veins.

Alcasthq.com is what you are looking for. :)

Has complete CP 2.0 build suggestions for all specs and play styles.

I usually use Hack the Minotaur because I use his one bar builds, but I assume they use similar CP builds.

I heard on Facebook that Alcast has a farming build as well.

Did HTM even update his builds yet? Alcast seems to be the only one that did.

Also, you should focus on Critical and Critdamage in Warfare. Movespeed in Craft and HP and Regen in Fitness first.

at 450 you’re gaining new points at (almost) twice the speed you did before, and while it takes some effort to get back the fast harvesting, and this time around you don’t have to chose between combat prowess and utility.
I went into the new update at 435 CP.
At 510 CP you should have to max gathering speed
