Final Fantasy XIV’s next major patch arrives in just four days, but it’s time to find out exactly what’s in the patch right now. Yes, as is tradition, the game has posted its preliminary patch notes for the update today, which means that players can get a good sense of most of the important additions and expansions coming on April 13th. The preliminary notes do still obscure some bits of information as well as the new items being added, so there’s still some mystery, but they cover the vast majority of changes and especially all system updates.

And there are, of course, a lot of those, ranging from the inclusion of a new dungeon (Paglth’an) and a new alliance raid (Tower at Paradigm’s Breach) to quality-of-life changes like full parties having a narrower range of possible dungeons for leveling roulettes. Check out the full set of patch notes for a preview of everything arriving in the game for next Tuesday’s update.
