If you’ve been wondering where the co-op rogue-like ARPG Darksburg has been, last week brought some good news as a recent update has arisen after a span of several months where the game saw no updates whatsoever.

“With the current world situation, movements in and out of lockdown here in France, working from home and all of the complications that came alongside all of this, the last few months have been challenging as a studio and as a team,” remarks the news post. “But, with that out of the way, we’d like to introduce you to the first of our planned 2021 content updates ‘The Masteries Update’!”

The new patch has added a Mastery progression system to Darksburg, where players can earn Mastery Points from playing at all difficulty levels and completing newly-added daily Jobs that can be spent in a Mastery Tree, unlocking account-wide run upgrades, new gear to push into higher difficulty levels, and Survivor-specific mini-tree perks. The notes also promise that players who unlock a Survivor’s full tree will get “a very nice surprise.”

The patch has also added new random events, new services from Tiny Tom, two new affixes, and three new Tomes of Self Improvement, along with several character balance adjustments. The patch notes provide the full rundown.
