WRUP: What’s in the bitey surprise bag edition

Trashy.

What’s up, folks, today’s What Are You Playing is all about opening up the bitey surprise bag! The last one of these we opened had some broken glass, an old newspaper, unidentifiable slime, a live raccoon, spoiled milk, a non-functional smoke detector, three pounds of hair, and a rotten apple! I’m really excited about this next surprise bag, and not just because I’m pretty sure that I have all the feeling back in my legs so I can outrun the people yelling at me not to put my mouth on the bitey surprise bag!

Here’s today’s bag, and… wait, no, they’re running at me and yelling now. Darn it! My wonderful bitey surprise! I just want to take a big bite of the plastic and see what’s in the surprise bag, it usually tastes really bad and a lot of the time it means I need to go to the hospital again! And it’s free! That’s right, you can get your own bitey surprise bag absolutely free at your municipal waste depository! Oops, I should stop narrating, the people are catching up to me. Hope to catch a bitey snack next week!

Bonus question: What tends to make you want to leave a gathering of people (current events notwithstanding)?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Gonna do some Pokemon Go and Pokemon Snap. The latter is just so immersive, and my friend and I have doing it on voice chat so we kind of figure things out together. But between that and the picture album for Monster Hunter Rise, I’m kind of wondering why more games don’t have some kind of in-game photo journal/rating system.

Pretending COVID’s not a thing, I think a big thing that makes me leave a gathering of people is a set end time. That’s the easiest out. If there’s not a set one, I’ll leave when it starts to get dark if the drive home is more than 20 minutes, just so there’s less of a chance of me driving while tired. Also, if things just aren’t working out, which is why the above two reasons are so important!

Ben Griggs (@braxwolf): I need to get out there and buy the new suits for Odyssey in Elite: Dangerous. Might try and get that done at some point, and read up on any upgrades I might need before heading back out into the black.

I usually leave a crowd of people when he cake runs out!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Happily ensconced in Star Wars Galaxies Legends at the moment. Going to do a bit of crafter grinding this weekend and a ton more factory runs. We’re at that stage in the game where I think I sell more components to other crafters who value time more than money than actual end products.

When I’ve been at it so long my face hurts from smiling or when I am yawning so hard because of exhaustion that I feel like I’m seeming rude. Even if I don’t wanna go.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): Elite: Dangerous: Odyssey. That’s it. That’s the response.

I’m not really a party person/large gathering sort, so usually I just have that internal countdown timer for the times where I would be forced to go into a large gathering of people. The exception being a concert, because the musicians are enough of a distraction for me to ignore that ticking internal clock.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): I’ve got the hankering for some Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, I think. I might wind up playing a fair chunk of that. I couldn’t tell you exactly why, though.

Really, the impressive part is getting me out to a thing with lots of people. I tend to get nervous and weird in groups, I don’t do well with parties. But I try to stay at least long enough to make the drive there and back worthwhile.
