PAX West returns to its in-person format this fall

As much of the United States returns to normal after a year of social distancing and virtual events, the organizers of PAX West have decided that it’s safe enough to bring back the event in person after last year’s online-only format.

PAX West, which will run from September 3rd through the 6th, will take place at the Washington State Center in Seattle. A four-day ticket will run attendees $230 apiece, while individual day passes are priced at $60.

This will mark the first in-person Penny Arcade Expo since PAX East 2020 and a string of six cancelled physical conventions. The organizers stressed that they “are working with venue officials, local governments, and health authorities to determine event capacity, which will be reduced, and ensure a safe setting.”

“It’s been almost two years since the last PAX West, and it’s been surreal to imagine its triumphant return,” said Penny Arcade’s Jerry Holkins. “I can’t think of a better excuse to leave the house than PAX West.”
