One Shots: Eye love you

While giant floating eyeballs always seem imposing, I can’t help but feel bad about their life situation. Eyes are vulnerable enough when they’re tucked into a protective skull, but when you make them a huge floating target, you must assume that their entire life is a living hell of cornea infections.

“My misadventures in ArcheAge have gone ‘places’ this past week,” Lethia said. “Places meaning in a deep grave for my squishy self, but alas, the game has some amazing vistas and interesting NPCs and enemies. But it’s very hard to make a living once you’re past the safe zones and peace periods.”

Hikari is setting up a cozy home in Swords of Legends Online: “The Kenzaki Cay has all the amenities of your typical flying island, including crafting, gathering, manufacturing, relaxing shade, cool ponds and streams, and a lovely residence. Recently, the Kenzaki family have begun rebuilding the old residence, though portions of the aging House of Light had to be left in place as the tree had grown over the wall and house.”

Meanwhile, Vincent dropped another dime on Final Fantasy XIV to take off one skin suit and put on another: “Yeah, yeah, so I used another fantasia. At this point that should just be a given.”

No judgment here. I did the same this past week myself. I think fantasia potions are fueling Square Enix’s profit margin at this point.

Utakata’s latest Blade and Soul screenie captures a gorgeous array of amber delights, all tucked into the middle of an imminent conflict. Let’s hope our pint-sized friend survived to live another week!

We’ll wrap up with another Swords of Legends Online pic, this one from Rees Racer!

“I waited a bit before having a go, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Even if the translations/localisation isn’t quite satisfactory, the game itself is very solid with plenty of things to do. I enjoy the Chinese aesthetic and mythology.”
