While there are certainly events that happen in Guild Wars 2 in an official capacity, there’s also no shortage of events spearheaded by the game’s community, and ArenaNet is taking some time to call attention to a pair of these events – one for the Halloween season, and another for a charitable cause.

The first is the return of Horrorween, a giant Halloween-themed soiree going down in Lion’s Arch this coming Saturday, October 30th, at 11:30 a.m. EDT on European servers. Players are invited to dress up in their spookiest attire and check out some art contests, ride the Rollerghoster, and attend the concert of the Ghostly Quartet. There will also be various giveaways of Community Chests, the Moot legendary mace, unique miniature codes, and over 10,000 gold’s worth of additional prizes.

Before that, Pink Day in LA is back for another year, with Gamers Giving Back and community members once more raising funds to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society. This event will also take place in Lion’s Arch in both NA and EU servers on Saturday, October 23rd, at 1:00 p.m. EDT, and those who join in on donation blitzes or donate a minimum of $10 CDN or more are entered to win various in-game and real-life prizes.
