Final Fantasy XI kicks off a series of winter improvements on November 11

We're going to be here for a very long while, princess.

Let’s be realistic, if you’re going to be spending a lot of time in a Square-Enix MMORPG this month, it’s probably not going to be Final Fantasy XI. Player counts and events suggest it’ll be another one; let’s leave it at that. But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening in FFXI this month, with the developers announcing a set of enhancements to existing content starting on November 11th so that players can get more rewards from clearing familiar battles.

Of course, it’s not just battles. Sure, Wildskeeper Reives will be cheaper to enter and reward more stuff, and sure, Skirmishes will offer better rewards even faster. But Mog Gardens are also getting enhanced during the event with greater yields and more items available to purchase, and Alter Egos will be enhanced during the campaign as well. It should all coincide nicely with the game’s next version update due out this month. If this is your main MMORPG this month, you’ll have plenty of boosts to playing it.
