The Daily Grind: Are there MMO daily rewards that make you log back out?

At the beginning of the month of November, I was irritated at New World for a multitude of reasons but still itching for some of the harvesting/marauding feeling, so I contemplated going back to Albion Online, where I spent the better part of my summer enjoying killing stuff with a bow and gathering allllllll the logs. But when I had a look at the monthly challenge, it chilled my desire so fast it actually surprised me.

See, Albion’s challenges basically grant cool stuff to subber, culminating in what is generally always an incredibly cool mount, which you can either keep for yourself or sell and get a huge leg up in the game. The mount this month, however, was so ugly that I actually decided not to do it at all. With apologies to people who really dig lizard mounts, I would just rather wait for a month and sub when the reward is personally appealing to me.

Is this just a me-brain thing? Are there MMO daily (or monthly) rewards that make you log back out to wait for better ones?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
