The Daily Grind: Do you make your MMO characters look a little too perfect?

Whether an MMO gives me six options or six hundred when it comes to picking a character’s looks, I admit that it’s awfully hard to select anything but the most perfect and attractive features. We’re drawn to beauty, after all, and it feels natural to want to slather that all over your character.

However, in so doing we end up adventuring in game worlds populated by picture perfect models who were waylaid during a photo shoot and handed a sword or staff instead. If we ever wanted to know what the world would look like if everyone was perpetually 25 and without a single blemish, I’ll point you to the nearest MMO. Pretty much any MMO, really.

Do you tend to make your MMO characters too perfect looking? If not, what do you select to set them apart from the pack?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
