Quality-of-death? Quality-of-murder-hoboing?

Like clockwork, there’s a new weekly update in RuneScape, and this one features yet another Ninja Strike from Jagex’s Ninja Team. The overall focus of this particular update is combat, specifically a number of quality-of-life changes for those who stab enemies with pointy pieces of metal or throw magical things at them.

Highlights of this update include unified drop rates per clear in elite dungeons, several updates to certain boss encounters such as Raksha and Vorago, boss kill timers now measuring milliseconds, and a wide variety of ability updates including support for an unintended crit chance synergy between the Smoke Tendrils ability and the Smoke Cloud or the Staff of Armadyl; the patch notes point out that this discovered bug led to “some interesting interactions that [the devs] rather like,” so now it’s a feature.

The patch notes provide more details on other updates and adjustments, while the weekly newsletter features the usual spotlights for community events and new Prime Gaming drops, so it’s once again likely worth taking the time to read through the changes.
