Shiny.

Final Fantasy XI players can have a little bit of Final Fantasy XIV in their game, too. As a treat. Yes, it’s the crossover collaboration event starting on March 22nd, in which the spriggans of FFXIV fame have invaded despite the best efforts of the moogles to contain their presence. That means adventurers are going to be called upon to deal with the infestation, as usual, and that means your reward will be… clothes.

It’s always clothes. And it’s clothes based on the spriggans, which means that the moogles must have planned for this. Coincidence? Or conspiracy?

You can ponder this situation for yourself when the event kicks off, as it asks players to catch the spriggans running around in Vana’diel while under the effects of moogle magic. Successfully catching the spriggans will reward shards that can be used to play a little lottery, with the best prize being pieces of the lavender or red spriggan garb. Don’t you want to look like a spriggan? You’ll have your chance through April 11th.
