I get the sense that some people are reluctant to play RIFT right now just because of the company running the show. That’s not to say that the game has no other problems, chief among them being a total lack of any new content for a dog’s age and no particular sign that this fact is going to change in the near future. But even if that wasn’t going to change any time soon, there are people who would feel safer at least enjoying what content the game does have if it weren’t under Gamigo’s stewardship.
Frankly, I get it. Some companies you just don’t trust to keep games running even in maintenance mode, and some companies are just not ones you want to deal with. Management behind the scenes can matter a lot when it comes to making you feel like your time and/or money will be respected when you play. So what MMO would you play more under different management? No changes to content cadence (or lack thereof), not even a change to the team, just a different company running the servers?
