A few weeks ago, the MOP work chat was positively hopping over an unusual subject: Guild Wars 2’s mount grinds, specifically the skyscale. One writer literally called it the worst grind he’d ever done in an MMO, while another took one look at the grind and just did something else. I’m not a fan myself. The idea behind it, of course, was to give players something to do in between seasons, which makes perfect sense. But years later, it’s a bit of a gate on a rather important mount, and MMO vets who play Guild Wars 2 casually are probably just going to give it a pass.
