In the midst of the darkest days of winter, Genshin Impact is bringing a burst of content sunshine with a huge content update next week. The Exquisite Night Chimes drop is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18th, and adds playable characters and activities into the popular online RPG.
“In this update, players can look forward to the grand annual celebration of Lantern Rite, competitions in Inazuma, elegant outfits, and rich rewards, including a free four-star Liyue character and a total of 13 Intertwined Fates,” said Developer MiHoYo. “Two new characters, Alhaitham and Yaoyao will become playable as powerful allies, while in the distant desert of Sumeru, a new area with long-lost ancient remains and mysteries finally reveals itself amidst the sandstorms.”
Speaking of the new characters, Alhaitham is a five-star sword wielder, while Yaoyao is a four-star polearm fighter with some healing capabilities. The studio said that by participating in the Lantern Rite festival, players can earn a four-star character and an outfit for Lisa. Lisa thanks you in advance.
