Lord of the Rings Online nerfs delving difficulty, eases housing restrictions

Lord of the Rings Online’s relatively new delving system hasn’t been quite the success that its studio hoped, as the mission difficulty slider is seen as too punishing for too little reward. Hopefully, this week’s patch will help with that, as delvings saw nerfs in its higher tier settings, with dread and Sauron’s Defence tweaked downward to make these expeditions easier to manage.

“Malices at high levels of Delving variant four have been made less punishing. A bug was corrected that caused monster damage values to multiply rather than add,” SSG added.

Update 34.1.2 also removed reputation requirements for any and all housing items, while also adding some extra decor options to Cardolan and Swanfleet mission vendors.

SSG said that it has a producer’s letter in the works for the new year but won’t put a date on when it’ll arrive.
