Destiny 2 gives you a doggo to pet, waves farewell to Stadia

Who's a good dev team? You are! Yes, you are!

Every game developer these days know that players will just about lose their minds if a cute dog makes an appearance, which is why we shouldn’t be quite so surprised that Destiny 2 has unleashed (ahem) a robot canine that’s taken the online RPG by storm.

“Each season we spend a bit of time brainstorming fun little easter eggs, and for this season, everyone wanted to build a robot dog,” Bungie said. “But it wasn’t that easy. After the team came up with the idea, the first question was, ‘Can I pet it?’ And we knew the answer had better be, ‘Yes!’ So, we quickly performed this interesting test to confirm that ‘petting the dog’ was indeed possible.”

While you’re doing that and definitely not getting robotic fleas, you should be aware that Destiny 2 finally ended support for the game from Google Stadia. Bungie advised players to set up cross-save with other platforms to secure their characters before Stadia goes kaput on January 18th.

In other Destiny 2 news, Bungie is changing up the Iron Banner mode to increase rewards and frequency. Also, the studio recently unlocked all standard armor mods for all players. “With big changes coming to buildcrafting in Lightfall, we want to give everyone a chance to enjoy all of the standard mods in their current state for the rest of the season.”
