The Daily Grind: Do you have any dealbreakers when it comes to trying new MMOs?

So I have a thing about MMO cameras: I pretty much will not play an MMORPG that doesn’t let me center my camera and my viewpoint. I absolutely can’t stand having my character be shunted off to the side so my weapon and targeting are in the center of my world. To be honest, it makes me a little nauseated navigating like that (or swooshing back and forth), and I find it super anti-immersive. Sure, it’s probably ideal in a shooter, but I ain’t playing a shooter – I’m playing an MMORPG! Or maybe that’s part of what annoys me: the sense that if a game insists on that viewpoint, it’s subtly telling me what it really is and where its priorities really are.

In any case, I might try games that insist on this view, but I’d probably call it a dealbreaker for my longevity for sure.
