The other day, my husband jokingly said of an MMO that he plays, “People still play that game?” and I laughed out loud before realizing… nobody says that anymore. A decade ago, it was a common insult, but nowadays? Most MMOs are old or aging, and if it’s still alive, then yes, people still play that game. As an insult, it’s over.

But let’s be real, there are still games out there I’m shocked to find out still have players! I mean, I’m glad about it (because yay old MMOs, long live the genre!), but still, damn.

Let’s make a list: Which MMOs are you shocked to find out actually still have players?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
