World of Warships brings back Longest Night of Museums event this week

No doubt you’ve already marked your calendar for International Museum Day on May 18th and are taking off of work/school/child care to devote your full attention to its beatific presence. OK, it actually sounds pretty cool if you’re the nerdy museum type (and we are!). And to support it, World of Warships is bringing back one of its past initiatives to shine a spotlight on museums around the world.

To help support naval museums and the preservation work that they do, Wargaming is hosting a “megastream” on May 18th. This livestream will take viewers on a tour of 19 museums around the globe and sit down at panels with guests from the Historic Naval Ships Association and the US Naval Institute.

Other than educational purposes, the incentive to watch this stream comes in the form of “three different free in-game content drops” released at various intervals. You can watch the stream on YouTube and Twitch starting at 10:00 AM UTC.

Wargaming calls World of Warships “the largest digital ship museum” with over 600 playable ships.
