The Daily Grind: What’s the longest wait you ever had for an MMO?

The other day I was looking back at my gaming blog from 2013 to read a list of my most anticipated MMORPGs. And wouldn’t you know it, Star Citizen was one of the games mentioned. If I had only known then that 10 years later, we’d still be in a holding pattern for anything even resembling a launch, I wouldn’t have bothered.

But that’s how it is, sometimes. We get pumped up about a game in development and settle in for a wait that we hope won’t be too long. Yet sometimes it is. Sometimes it’s very long, indeed. Today, why not share with the rest of the MOP community the longest that you ever waited — or are still waiting — for a game to release?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
