New World’s Aeternum console beta infographic can’t hope to fill the summer content drought

As New World continues its agonizingly slow march toward Aeternum this fall, PC players are in a bit of a grumpy mood, unreceptive to community efforts like the extremely smol infographic Amazon dropped last night.

The studio says that testers finished over 682K quests, killed 3.6 baddies, got wrecked by Indra more than any other mob, preferred the bow weapon to all others, and rolled a ton of Swordbearers. That’s pretty much it.

“More testing opportunities will be available for players on both PC and console before New World: Aeternum releases on October 15,” the company concludes.

Reddit pretty much roasted the official post, which is otherwise content-free and focuses more on the ongoing NDA than on the content or serious development takeaways from the test. In other words, Amazon continues to Amazon as we wait for PC-enabled testing and the NDA drop… or maybe even some PC content.
