These are where the spirits come from.

Mark your calendars, Nightingale fans: The next major content update is coming on Tuesday, December 17th, and it’s bringing with it a few new feature updates and activities, whether you like the winter holidays, managing your NPC follower, or building pretty estates.

The latest developer video calls attention to these additions, starting first with some mention of NPC automation features that allow for things like sending followers out to do jobs or having them make use of beds to rest. Details are a bit thin here, but there appear to be more management options for your follower friend.

The devs next talk about building updates coming to the game, which include an overhaul to the UI to make getting to building pieces easier, the ability to directly assign augments to crafting tables, and the addition of a new fae-themed obsidian tileset that players can use.

The patch is bringing a holiday-themed winter event that let players cover the realm they’re visiting in snow with new minor cards, introduce the ability to ice skate and throw snowballs, and let players collect a new pet, seasonal outfits, and decor items. Finally, the “listen server” feature that lets players connect to friends via IP address without having a multiplayer server running will also be coming online with the patch.

All of these features are currently in PTR testing for those who want to check things out and provide feedback. Otherwise the video below discusses all of what’s coming next week.
