It would perhaps be fair to say that Temtem Swam – the multiplayer shooter that came out following the maintenance mode of the original Temtem – has something of an image problem. (An image problem compounded by the fact that the original game in maintenance mode is currently played by more people than this spinoff.) So it is perhaps not the best look that the latest patch has backup saves as its main feature. Sure, that is a good thing so that you can recover your saves in the event of a problem, but that isn’t exactly an exciting gameplay development.
However, the patch also has a variety of bug fixes along with numerous improvements to quality of life, like animated portraits. So while it’s perhaps not a slam dunk, it’s a clear sign that work is continuing on the game and more developments are coming. And until then, hey, you can always restore your saves if something goes wrong.
As we’ve been noting, Temtem Swarm peaked at 3,064 players concurrent last month and has slipped to around 300 in the last few days. It does not appear this latest attempt to shore up Crema Games has succeeded.
