It’s patch day for Throne and Liberty as Amazon and NCsoft roll out the planned holiday content, the first Christmas ever for the global game.
The festive Startree Solstice event kicks off today and runs through January 9th. “Join event-only Snowdrift Island arena matches for event-specific rewards, explore festive villages with holiday decorations (including Trees of Gratitude), [and] gather themed cosmetics like the Jolly Arsenal weapons via the Event Pass,” the studios say – plus you’ll be decorating your tree inside your amitoi house.
The patch further includes a limited-duration boss event with arch bosses spawning extra to make up for earlier downtime, a new cooldown timer for dungeon leavers who screw over their match-made teams, and a wide range of bug fixes and quality-of-life additions.
Finally, Amazon has revamped the cooking skill; we spy new cooking contracts, a quality-level consolidation that reduces the total number of cookable items, changes to how ingredients affect the quantity of meals crafted, ingredient drop rate adjustments, and a relaxing of rules on where players can craft food.
Downtime began at 1:30 a.m. EST this morning and was expected to take nine hours, so the servers will likely be back up by 10:30 a.m. EST.
