Do you remember Towers of Aghasba? It’s an intriguing-looking survival sandbox that we first covered in early November that focuses on co-op play and restoring a devastated tribal world. The game made its early access launch later that same month but was immediately flagged as extremely incomplete by Steam players.
Now that there’s roughly a month under developer Dreamlit Inc’s belt, it’s time that we look back on how the game is coming along, and actually it appears that it’s slowly starting to shape up. Hotfixing began almost immediately, while successive patches have focused on improving quality-of-life, fixing multiple bugs, and firming up multiplayer. That last portion has already begun in a mid-December patch that’s part of a wider multiplayer rework that refines things like quest sharing, cutscenes, and joining multiplayer games to begin with.
All of the weeks of work by Dreamlit is starting to bear fruit in terms of players sentiment, as Steam user reviews are trending upward, with overall reviews rising from negative to mixed and recent reviews at “mostly positive.” Most recent reviews express appreciation for the setting and general gameplay beats, though some negative reviews call out continued animation jank and some unfun mechanics.
