There’s no way that Wakfu is going to slow down when the page flips to 2025, as Ankama has big plans for its flagship MMO. In a late December post, the studio previewed several projects in the works for the game starting with a new storyline.
“At the start of the year, adventurers will face the iconic antagonist from the Wakfu series, Noximilien the Clockmaker, on the mysterious Isle of Mists,” Ankama said. “Shrouded in mystery, this new island introduces 5 new monster families, epic quests, and hundreds of powerful items to aid our experienced players at level 245!”
Other projects include heading into the Osamosa dimension, seeing new dragons, a “full interface overhaul,” class balancing updates, and an update to several “signature systems.”
And speaking of the animated TV series, Wakfu’s fifth and final season is set to begin pre-production in 2025 with 26 episodes.
