You would possibly think that if Star Wars The Old Republic is planning for some bounty hunting fun and some pirate-related fun in January, those two things might overlap. After all, putting out bounties on pirates is a thing. But no, these are two separate events, with the pirate incursion starting now and running through January 13th. The Nova Blade pirates are taking advantage of chaos on Dantooine to cause problems, and the Republic and Empire are in turn taking advantage of the pirates to advance their own agendas. Take part and you can earn some mounts and costumes!
Later this month (January 21st through the 27th, to be precise) you can instead take part in the bounty hunting event, which… also offers some mounts and costumes for making your way through the content. We notice a theme. But in this case the chaos is all over the place and your goal is to find rapscallions and ne’er-do-wells and bring them in for a sizable bounty. So less farming, more bounty hunting.
