If you were dismayed by September’s reveal that Last Epoch is going to push its next content update into sometime early this year, perhaps you’ll be mollified by some end-of-year plans shared by developer Eleventh Hour Games that provides a little more clarity on just what’s planned for “Season 2 and beyond.”
Among the additions promised for this next content update are new echoes for the Monolith of Fate including the new woven echo type, a new weaver faction tree, improvements to dungeons that make them more accessible, and the addition of new side zones, champion enemies, and new endgame-level crafting and bosses.
Finally, the whole season preview closes with word of a launch window of sometime this April. “We have come to this date believing in making a successful second Season, providing the best experience possible; meaning not only introducing the features to address feedback, but also ensuring it’s as solid a release as possible,” the studio explains.
Meanwhile, the post shares a rough map of other additions on the OARPG’s horizon that include a pinnacle boss, transmog and dye systems, more campaign story content, and the addition of something known as skull sigils. All of these are simply listed as coming in “future” while Eleventh Hour promises dedicated dev blogs and newsletters that drill down on all that’s upcoming, the most recent of which discussed additions like controller improvements, the addition of faction waypoints, and bug reporting tool updates. The roadmap image can be clicked below for the overall details.
Meanwhile, Epoch has maintained a pretty steady Steam concurrency of around 2,200 as well as “mostly positive” user reviews.
