The Daily Grind: What’s your favorite classic World of Warcraft dungeon?

Last week, WoW Classic Classic pushed along with its planned release timetable, adding in two old world bosses, refurbing the honor system, and opening up Dire Maul. It’s the last of these that caught my attention because I have so many fond feelings for that dungeon.

For those who don’t remember, Dire Maul wasn’t in at launch; it was added later just as WoW Classic Classic is doing. It was divided into four wings of a decaying and moss-covered Night Elf city and populated with everything from goofy ogres to angry trees. It was honestly ahead of its time when it launched and far more entertaining (and pretty to look at) than some of the other existing endgame dungeons. My guildies and I spent way too much time in there gearing up alts – so many good memories. And I don’t feel at all this way about the likes of Blackrock Mountain’s dungeons!

I’m curious whether other folks have similar nostalgia for specific old-school WoW dungeons. What’s your favorite classic/vanilla World of Warcraft dungeon?
