If an MMORPG that says it focuses on social gameplay and exploration with a cute-looking 2-D sprite style is your kind of thing, then you’ve got another new choice in upcoming indie game. We’re talking about Soul’s Remnant, a Godot engine-based platformer MMO from indie developer Chaomoon that’s set to go online sometime soonâ„¢.
“Customize your skills with our classless system, team up with others, and defeat monsters, bosses, and dungeons together! Venture into the mysterious world of Soul’s Remnant with friends or meet new ones along the way—just watch out when night falls!”
Soul’s Remnant promises a large world to jump around in and explore, plenty of items in various rarities to chase, full crafting and gathering, a full quest system, and plenty of social features including guilds, party dungeons, player housing, and player-run shops.
The MMO recently wrapped up a playtest, and Chaomoon noted additional updates including plans to start 24/7 access, a season-style approach to content releases, and the recent opening of a Steam page. There are no hard dates for when the game will open its doors to all, but fans can keep track on Steam, the MMO’s Discord, or its Bluesky account.
