The Daily Grind: What was the most painful MMORPG sunset of 2024?

Man, this one is easy for me to answer, though I wish it weren’t so: ArcheAge was the most brutal sunset of 2024, and I say that as someone who never even got addicted to it in the first place. But ArcheAge always reminded me of a modern take on older cowboy sandboxes – full of insanity and bugs and social push-and-pull – and I secretly wanted more MMOs to follow its lead and bring back those old-school days. I certainly didn’t expect XLGames to give up on it in such a callous way, and I’m not surprised there are multiple emulators keeping the faith.

What would you say was the most painful MMORPG sunset of 2024?
