I am not really involved with the recent drama around Lord of the Rings Online’s server transfers, but the situation really does seem to represent one of the biggest possible fears realized for fans of the game. No, it’s not some sort of imminent shutdown or cataclysm, but it’s a sign that the team currently working on the game just cannot manage what on paper looks like a pretty simple process. That’s got to give fans the jitters, and I don’t blame them one bit.
Of course, I think we all have our fears when it comes to our favorite games. We worry that the next patch might be a dud or have bad content.
