Update 73 lands on the live Dungeons and Dragons Online servers today with Tavern Tales, a new quest bundle for the game, or at least the first chunk of it. Standing Stone Games is introducing the first of a four-part bundle today, with three more chunks to follow. Today’s release is called Dinosaur Crisis:
“Dinosaur Crisis – A horde of dinosaurs gather outside Stormreach! What’s behind this sinister development? Venture into the jungle to find out—and face the Ettin, a brand-new monster making its debut in DDO! This creature was chosen by the community during our 2024 PAX East panel, and now it’s ready to challenge adventurers in this all-new quest. Speak with Regina Vencyl in the Stormreach Harbor to begin. Dinosaur Crisis is level 13 on Heroic difficulty and level 28 on Epic difficulty.”
Toil and Trouble launches April 16th, Covered Culvert rolls out April 30th, and then Sleeping with the Fishes debuts on May 14th.
Do note that the whole pack of content is free to subscribers, but free-to-play players can still purchase each quest line separately or in the bundle (for a discount). The bundle itself drops on April 16th, so either way, today is for VIPs and one-off buyers.
Today’s update also includes a raft of other minor adjustments, including tweaks to the Den of Vipers raid, balance tinkering on the Monk, and unfortunate nerfs to rat form wings (RIP).
