Frontier Developments says its all-new internet spaceship is a multi-role craft, but then it’s also called the Corsair and appears to be spec’d specifically for piracy. But whatever you may use it for, the new ship is now available to fly in the latest patch for Elite: Dangerous. For money, anyway.
Like other spacecraft added to the sandbox, the Corsair is first available in paid early access in the usual standard configuration for 16,520 Arx and the stellar version for 33,000 Arx. Either way, players are getting a very sleek (and beaky) medium-sized craft that sports some impressive stats. Again, for money. Otherwise players can opt to wait a few weeks later when the Corsair will be buyable with in-game credits instead.
As for the rest of the patch, that’s almost exclusively focused on bug fixing, primarily addressing a wide assortment of issues related to the space colonization feature added back in February, as well as correcting problems with visuals, asteroid mining, UI, and auto-docking, among many other things.
