Washington Capitals hockey player Alex Ovechkin made history over the weekend when he scored his 895th career goal, shattering an all-time goal scoring record held for 31 years by the great Wayne Gretzky. That means it’s time to… celebrate the achievement in War Thunder? Sure, why not!
Between now and April 11th, players can snag some unique decals and a player icon marking the record by playing or winning eight matches while using USSR or USA vehicles that are rank II or higher and activating a special code for their accounts. And while we’re on the subject of out-of-the-blue cosmetics, a player made a Minecraft-styled custom hangar.
These cosmetics are on top of the monthly historical decals on offer that players can earn by clearing various different achievements. By comparison, getting the Ovechkin goodies isn’t a very tall order, but time for these goodies is limited.
