So, how did the Defiance stress test last weekend go? Well enough that Fawkes Games, which picked up the game from Gamigo to open new servers later this month, is already running another one.

“Your support has been incredibly helpful in gathering the necessary technical insights,” the team wrote on Saturday. “We now have a clear understanding of what to expect and what needs to be addressed in the coming days before the official release on April 18, 2025. We’ll be getting back to work shortly and will also open another test in the coming days once the major issues are resolved.”

And now we have details for that new test: It’s running for two or three hours tomorrow night on Friday, April 11th, starting at 5 p.m. EDT.

The studio says it’s “addressed all the technical issues reported during the initial stress test,” including the launcher loop bug and lag issues; it’s also put back in some missing content, like cutscenes, missing vendors, and patron contracts. It’s not decided whether DLC content or Inanis vendors will make it into the launch, though. And as for the cash shop?

“We’ve rebalanced or removed many of the pain points related to power disparities between free and paying users, based on community feedback. Some pricing is still being polished, but this is close to the final release version.”
