While Last Epoch might have shuffled its next update out of the way in order for Path of Exile 2 to make its bellyflop, that hasn’t stopped Eleventh Hour Games from trying to keep the hype fires burning, as it’s spent the past few days sharing dev blogs that highlight what’s arriving in the April 17th patch.

First up are new things for the Monolith of Fate and a new faction: Players can expect a chance to uncover Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased that pits them against multiple new horrors as well as a boss fight, all in an effort to get a new currency that’s used to increase standing with the new Woven faction and unlock nodes in a new Weaver Tree. The Monolith will also have new Woven Echoes, Weaver idols, and idol enchanting systems.

Next are some new and adjusted skills: Players will get to explore the Heartseeker spec that is all about ranged single-target devastation for players who like that sort of thing, and the reworking of the Sentinel’s Volatile Reversal ability that changes it to a melee traversal combo skill and gives it its own skill tree.

Finally, Eleventh Hour have run through some quality-of-life updates landing in the new season, such as a mastery respec feature, changes to the eternity cache crafting system to reduce its RNGness, various dungeon changes including a separate inventory space for keys, a variety of UI updates, and high-tier loot being drawn in along with player corpses in a new “death vacuum” in the Monolith of Fate, among other updates.

If all of those dev blogs were too much for you, then you can instead watch a livestream that premiered earlier today with the devs providing a full overview of what’s coming in the new season instead. Or if you prefer patch notes instead, they’re waiting for you here.
